A bizarre draft Law supposedly meant to help modernize this country's armed forces has stirred controversy in Parliament.
Under this draft, the Romanians who donate money for arms purchases could be rewarded with tax reliefs and even high military ranks.
One proposal was that people who donate 600 thousand euros should be entitled to a rank of Retired Army General.
