Despaired over the plummeting birth rate, a Mayor from Mureş County sought needy families with many children and convinced them to settle in his village.
The first big family will move into their new house this weekend.
The Mayor has donated his income for one year to the cause and has persuaded his local councillors to follow his example so as to bring down the villagers' average age.
