The poor soul of a Romanian fighter pilot diagnosed with malaria and hospitalized at the "Victor Babes" clinic in Bucharest has flown away to a better place.
The man had been taken in a serious condition, earlier this month, to a local hospital in Bacau, after lying in bed struggling with a general malaise and high fever for five days.
Subsequently, he was transported to Bucharest in a SMURD emergency assistence helicopter, but his condition had worsened of late and his weakened body couldn't take it anymore.
