All-out war between the National Anticorruption Directorate and Prime Minister Victor Ponta! Casus Belli is an expert assessment allegedly proving the prejudice caused by Ponta. Anticorruption prosecutors yesterday issued two press releases only to demonstrate that their allegations about a 51 thousand lei prejudice in this probe are grounded. The Prime Minister accused them of manipulating the public opinion and posted on Facebook documents showing not only that he brought no damage to the Romanian state but that the state owes him money.
DNA experts, however, claim that the documents the Prime Minister came up with have nothing to do with the expert assessment in his case. Victor Ponta is charged with fraud, tax evasion and money laundering in the DNA probe.
