"The decision will belong to the trust management, but at least while I'm prime minister you do not have to move anywhere. Office spaces belonging to the Romanian state are currently occupied by B1 TV, Romania TV, and Realitatea used to as well (...).I believe in the idea of freedom of the press and of not imposing sanctions against journalists and media groups, when they are not the subject of the case, it is more important than anything else, than any personal destiny (...)You have presented on Antena 3, serious cases, criminal cases, involving Traian Basescu and his family. For that nobody, nor you, nor anyone else - and if any other TV station had done that, which would have presented about me or anyone else - that's no reason to be locked, driven from headquarters " Ponta said.
Ponta gave assurances that, as other stations can stay in state buildings, meeting legal requirements, Antena 3 too may maintain its premises.
"So I can say, taking criticism and risk, because as other stations do, some of which criticize me greatly, they can stay as long as they pay rent and meet the legal requirements in their premises, and so can you" ,Ponta said.
The Prime Minister also said that for Romania, if "the only station CNN affiliate" is moved by force or thrown out in the street, from its premises, without having any blame or direct accusation it would be "the biggest blow given to the country's image. "
