"Romania is a safe country, because it is not alone. We are in an alliance with other democratic countries with whom we share the same values. We have obligations too, we spend more and train soldiers for the army. I cannot accept threats that are totally unfair and totally unbecoming, "said Ponta.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Victor Ponta has posted a message indicating that he rejects threats and criticism by various officials of the Russian Federation against the countries that will host NATO missile systems and states that they do not intimidate the Romanian authorities nor change Romania’s strategy.
"I reject outright threats and criticism by various officials of the Russian Federation . They do not intimidate us nor change our strategy," Ponta wrote on Twitter.
