Ponta: Romania will have the best F-16 pilots in NATO

Romania will have the best pilots of F-16 multi-role aircraft of NATO, said Prime Minister Victor Ponta confidently  who announced that the country will buy 12 upgraded  F 16 over the next period to  strengthen national airspace security.

The investment is costly, but necessary, Ponta said. 

"Romanian soldiers must have the latest equipment. If they do not have the technology needed they cannot fulfill their missions. Once the multirole aircraft F-16 arrive in Romanian, I believe they will be the best pilots of F-16 of NATO”, the head of government said.
