Asked whether that was a real danger for Romania, the Prime Minister stated that “there is a very big danger for Moldova, but Romania is not in danger”.
"It is not a danger to Romania because we are in the EU and NATO, but that which is happening in Ukraine is a danger for Moldova", Victor Ponta stated.
According to him, "Romania is too small to be able to solve the crisis in Ukraine by itself, but it is not too small to help Moldova".
"I believe we have a huge obligation to Moldova to help them in these difficult moments to stay on their route towards Romania and towards Europe", the PM added.
