Presidential elections will take out the state budget nearly 43 million. The largest expenditure, nearly 38 million, is expected to be made by the Ministry of Interior. Specifically, the burden will be carried out by the county prefectures because they are responsible with the payment of elections committees members and of those who will be in charge of organizing the elections, several government decisions already published in the Official Journal point out.

Most of the 43 million euros, meaning 21 million will be allocated for the payment of the Ministry of Interior Personnel in charge of ensuring the elections organization. The best paid, as expected, will be the chairmen of the elections bureaus of the polling stations and their deputies. They will cash in 19 euros, that is 85 lei a day. The rest of the elections bureaus will be paid euros per day. The worst paid are the IT staff, statisticians and employees of the Interior Ministry in charge of preserving order during elections. They only get money for coffee, snacks and refreshments, but not more than 2.2 per day. Even so, the payment of the gendarmerie during elections mounts to 2.5 million.

The next most important contributor to the presidential elections will be the General Secretariat of the Government by 10 million. The Permanent Electoral Authority will have its own budget of 2.4 million and the Special Telecommunications Service will spend more than 1.7 euros million providing telephone connections and data transmission opportunities for the polling. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will allocate one million euros for the polling stations abroad.
