The Prosecutor General of Romania, Tiberiu Nitu, argues that in Romania there is no concern in relation to the Paris bombing. He has said that the Supreme Court Prosecutor has no files concerning acts of terrorism, which means that the phenomenon has been effectively prevented.
"It is good that we do not have any case files. We have had case files, I know they were a couple of them, but not of the severity or magnitude of what happened in Paris. It is important to have files, because having files means to combat and not having any files means you have an effective prevention and a very good one. We do not have any reason to worry, " Tiberiu Nitu said.
The General Prosecutor of the High Court of Cassation and Justice added that the services specialized in the prevention, detection and anticipation of terrorism actions do their job well, reaffirming that in Romania there is no reason for concern.
"We can assure you that we, the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation, but especially the services specialized in preventing, detecting and anticipating these actions do their job well and we support the work of these institutions', Tiberiu Nitu said, quoted by Mediafax.
