Laurenţiu Mironescu, former general secretary of the MIA, was intercepted in 2011 talking to Mircea Basescu about a friend of the Secretary who had entered into contract with the president’s brother.
The majority of the Port’s management collaborated with Mircea Băsescu, including Eugen Bogatu temporarily arrested in the file.
From the interceptions made by prosecutors one could understand that the defendants tried delaying a decision that would have forced the customs officers to scan containers coming into port.
Among the political figures appearing in the file there is the former Interior Minister Traian Igaş.
