Political analyst Radu Tudor sees President Klaus Johannes’s gesture of going among protesters in the University Square as an act of courage and says he appreciates that the president held his promise.

"I thought it was important what Iohannis did (that he was in the University Square) because he promised to do it. He went in the middle of a crowd whose reaction nobody could predict. (... ) where 2,000-3,000 people are protesting, are outraged who are unpredictable, to go in their middle it takes courage, "political analyst Radu Tudor said on the Monday 100 minutes show, on Antena 3.
However, journalist Radu Tudor said he also saw in the University Square posters in which they asked Klaus Iohanis to reign. Therefore, the analyst continued, no one knew if the 3,000 people in the square were on his side or not.

"After so many fatalities, you did not know what reaction they would have against you as a politician, when the entire political class is being blamed. (...) I thought his gesture was a courageous one", the political analyst concluded.
Klaus Iohannis went last night amid protesters gathered in the University Square. Although there were only around 2,000-3,000, not 30,000 like in the early days, there was an uproar when the president appeared.

Iohannis tried to talk to some of the protesters, others booed him. The president left after about half an hour.

Security staff could barely managed to withstand the wave of people.
