Romania celebrates 135 years of diplomatic relations with the United States. In an official statement, the Foreign Ministry shows its appreciation for the constant and substantial commitment shown by the United States in relation to Romania, as well as by contributing to our country's security and development as an influential member of the transatlantic community. MAE reiterates its commitment to act in the future as a friend, partner and reliable ally of America.
At the same time, the US Embassy in Bucharest welcomes the celebration of 135 years of bilateral relations. "We want all Romanians to enjoy peace and security, protected by the rule of law, which means equal justice for all." - a press release from the US Embassy stated.
