On second position depending on the construction output growth stood Slovenia, with an advance of 8.9%, followed by Italy with 1.9%.
The largest decreases were reported by Portugal, 3%, Netherlands 2.6% and Germany 2.2%.
In the euro area, the decline reported in February stood at 0.6%.
Only 15 of the 28 Member States submitted data to Eurostat. In six of these countries, the works in construction rose and in the rest they fell .
Compared with the same month last year, the construction production in Romania decreased by 0.7%, while in the EU it rose by 5.3%.
The highest annual growth rates were reported by Slovenia with 44.9%, Hungary 34.1%, and Spain with 19.1%. The sharpest falls were reported by Portugal with 13.8%, Sweden 2.8%, and Italy with 1.4%.
In the euro area, the advance was located at 5.2%.
Six of the 15 countries that submitted data to Eurostat recorded decreases and the remaining countries reported growth.
