Romanian border guards keep a close eye on the Danube river banks in order to apprehend the migrants trying to illegally cross the border into this country.
One thousand people were caught in the act this year alone.
However, given the huge wave of refugees heading for Europe, Romanian authorities have lately toughened up measures against illegal migration.
