Acting President of PSD, Rovana Plumb, said on Antena 3, that the Social Democrats will not vote for the appointment of Mihai Razvan Ungureanu as head of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SIE) and believes that chances are for the nomination to be rejected in Parliament.
The statement was made Thursday by the "number two" in the PSD during the Daily Summary show on Antena 3.
"Chances are that this nomination would drop in Parliament, but what grieves me is how old Liberals support this nomination, after they had said that Mihai Razvan Ungureanu was a traitor to the country as this man still had much reckoning to do " Rovana Plumb said on Antena 3.
PSD Deputy Liviu Dragnea also said yesterday that it will be difficult for the party he represents to support MRU for the SIE leadership.
According to Antena 3sources , on Monday, a meeting is to be held in Parliament for the appointment of Mihai Razvan Ungureanu as head of SIE.
President Klaus Iohannis nominated Wednesday for the position of director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Mihai Razvan Ungureanu, informing the two Chambers of the Parliament about the nomination, the Presidential Administration announced.
