The Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM) notified Tuesday the Judicial Inspection on Basescu's statements, saying that he did not call Florian Coldea, Codruta Kovesi and Livia Stanciu "out of disgust" because "they are the artisans of this ravaging way of doing justice", Mediafax informs.

SCM President, Marius Tudose, notified the Judicial Inspection about the latest allegations of former President on the court, made Monday night on the TV station B1, but also about a post on a social network page by Elena Udrea .

Former President Traian Basescu said on Monday at B1 TV, that he did not call Florian Coldea, Codruta Kovesi and Livia Stanciu "out of disgust" because "they are the artisans of this ravaging way of doing justice, without respect for the one who is not convicted ", adding that" they want to stay for five terms in the office ".

Asked why he did not call Florian Coldea (Deputy Head of SRI – editor’s note) or Codruţa Kovesi or the HCCJ head, Livia Stanciu, Traian Basescu said: "I can tell you that out of disgust?".

Băsescu went on: "Because they are the artisans of this ravaging way of doing justice, without any respect for the one who is not convicted. What should I do? They want to stay for five more terms in the office".

Subsequently, the President of the High Court of Cassation and Justice (HCCJ), Livia Stanciu, replied the attacks by the former head of state Traian Basescu, saying that such things cased Romania to lose credibility and that "rarely" could she let herself be intimidated by some politicians reactions.

On the other hand, Elena Udrea, through her communication team, wrote on Facebook that "all the people who are called to DNA are asked, in one form or another, if they know something that might incriminate her", the final purpose being to generate, at any cost, more and more criminal cases, without taking into account the evidence or that "all these accusations would be made under pressure".

Moreover, the former minister mentioned that when the arrest warrant was renewed, "it was specifically chosen so that the case should go to a particular judge ", by violating "very seriously the principle that the case should be assigned to an independent judge."

Also Tuesday, in the SCM plenary, they analyzed another Judicial Inspection report on statements made by Traian Basescu after the land from Nana was foreclose, in the case investigated by the prosecutors of the High Court of Cassation and Justice.

According to the report of the Judicial Inspection, Basescu's statements had a negative impact on the image of justice and the judiciary as a whole, affecting the independence of the prosecutor dealing with the Nana case, JI officials stated for MEDIAFAX.

Judicial Inspection was notified by the Superior Council of Magistracy on March 9, after Basescu wrote on Facebook, on March 7,that he was sorry for the 127 families from Nana whose land plots restituted between 1996-2010 were foreclose, showing that these families bear the consequences of political actions targeted against him.
