Eight years in prison for Gheorghe Mencinicopschi at the end of a trial where his only fault was that he knew Dan Voiculescu. Dr. Mencinicopschi’s house, where he lived with his wife and daughter was put under sequestration.
Specialists who have worked with Dr. Mencinicopshi over the years have collected signatures for his pardon. The initiative belongs to Stanciulov Bibiana, the famous creator of the Topoloveni jam.
His family filed a list of supporting signatures along with a request for grace from Cotroceni, in March this year. His entire medical history as a teacher was inserted. Documents show that George Mencinicopschi has been suffering from many ailments that are life-threatening. Moreover, a month ago, the professor went back to the hospital with serious heart problems. He has five stents installed.
The same unfair sentence convicted to 6 years in prison Jean Cătălin Sandu, former head of the ADS Legal Department and Vlad Săvulescu, former head of the Privatization Department within the ADS.
