The Romanian Intelligence Service - SRI Report of 2014 states, in the chapter "Counterintelligence" that last year, foreign intelligence spies have worked to "strengthen control over the communities on the domestic territory and over their main associative forms". Reference is made to the Hungarian community and the organizations managing it, bn24.ro reports.
"Foreign intelligence services activities have intensified on national territory aiming to influence the decision making, trying to obtain information from the strategic level, harm the interests of Romania’s alliances and partnerships, affecting the constitutional values and the interethnic coexistence environment. ", the SRI document reads.
