Eugen Iacobescu spoke Tuesday "on the Daily Summary with Mihai Gâdea" about the case file Mircea Băsescu-Bercea Mondial, from which important evidence have disappeared.
"Mrs. Ponea was very interested in this file, because she personally went there on March 28 to get it for me(...). I have received an order to drop the criminal investigation papers ", the former prosecutor stated.
According to Eugen Iacobescu, the intercepts show that 600,000 euros were given to Mircea Basescu. The prosecutor made new revelations and argued that bribery in this case is much higher. According to his statements, the amount of two million dollars, which appears in the recordings with the President’s brother, is true.
"Two million euros were given in 3 directions (...)Căpăţână would receive every time 100 million", Iacobescu said.
Moreover, the magistrate also confirmed the high level influence peddling which does not end with the brother of president Traian Băsescu.
