The absorption rate of structural and cohesion funds rose by 0.4% in June compared to May, from 54.42% to 54.82%, Romania succeeded in attracting last month only 76 million euros, according to data posted on the website of the Ministry of European Funds. The current absorption rate (expenditure statements submitted to the European Commission) increased by 0.4% (76 million) in June compared to May, from 54.42% (10.371 billion euros) to 54.82% (10 447 billion).
The only programs that contracted funds are the Sectoral Operational Programme for Environment and the Operational Programme Administrative Capacity Development. With regard to interim payments from the European Commission, the level increased by 0.73% from 50.37% (9.6 billion) in May to 51.10% (9.739 billion euros) at the end of June. Internal payments to beneficiaries increased by 0.55% last month, from 49.098 billion lei to 49.911 billion lei.
