The Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism conducted raids Friday in the Red Dragon, China Town, Sam Smart Expo and Expo commercial complexes at the request of the Directorate General for Tax Fraud, which identified a chain of 70 companies that damaged the state budget with over 31 million lei since 2013 until now, according to a press release from the National Agency for Fiscal Administration, agerpres.ro. reports.

'Inspectors of the General Directorate for Tax Fraud (DGAF) have identified a chain of 70 companies controlled by two brothers of Turkish origin, because of whom, from 2013 until now, the state budget registered a loss of over 31 million euro (about 140 million lei). Specifically, primarily from Turkey and China, goods (textiles, plastics, detergents, chemicals, electronics and appliances) were imported and prices much undervalued were declared.

Subsequently, the goods were sold without certificates of origin in specialist wholesale trade complexes, or by 'ghost' type companies to distributors or large retailers, "reads the release ANAF. The prosecutors of the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism were informed, who, on 26.06.2015, conducted searches in the Red Dragon, China Town, Sam Smart Expo and Expo commercial complexes. This action is performed by 120 anti- fraud inspectors with actual inspectors of police and gendarmes.
