Cluj-Napoca is the best positioned Romanian city in a chart measuring the quality of life in 97 cities worldwide.
The top drafted by experts from Numbeo is valid for current mid-year and takes into account several factors that contribute, in their opinion, to determining the quality of life. Thus, in achieving the respective ranking, the highest attention was given to the level of pollution in each city, followed by citizens security. They also took into account population health, quality of the health system and the purchasing power.
The top’s leader is the Swiss city of Zurich, followed by Canberra (Australia) and Ottawa (Canada). Cluj ranks 53rd , with good ratings in the chapters pollution, time spent in traffic, consumer price index and the safety of citizens. At the opposite end, the purchasing power and quality of the health system have values far below average. Even so, Cluj-Napoca appears ahead of cities such as Warsaw (Poland, 56th), Paris (France, 63rd), Budapest (Hungary, 67th), Milan (Italy, 69th), London (Great Britain , 72nd) and Bucharest (74th).
