Former prosecutor Eugene Iacobescu, removed from the system after he discovered Mircea Basescu's involvement in the "Mondial" affair, said  that the famous Alro file for which the  prosecutors dropped the investigation, a bribe of 10 million euro was paid.

According to former prosecutor, the money went to those who negotiated. The Alro business, involved many important names of the  Romanian politics.

Eugen Iacobescu revealed  the other days that he had a key witness who knew the details of this case and was willing to talk.

The investigation of the  Alro Group was open for  suspicion of undermining the economy.

In January 2010,the  Alro file investigation was dropped. The stake  in that controversial business was to obtain preferential rates on energy for Alro Slatina.
