Asked whether there was a recording attesting to that, as for the other discussions between her brother and Mircea Băsescu, the woman admitted that she has no such evidence.
"When her name was pronounced (the name of Livia Stanciu – editor’s note) he was not filmed", Isaura Anghel said .
Asked how he would have intervened to the head ICCJ whether with the help of President Traian Basescu, the daughter of Bercea Mondial replied affirmatively, adding "through Mr. Basescu" they would reach judge Livia Stanciu, President of the High Court of Justice.
Regarding the current progress of the case file Isaura Anghel believes that Mircea Basescu has lied to her and her family when he allegedly told them that he would intervene for her father’s release, Florin Anghel.
"There were promises that we would give money and it would be solved, there were promises made to my brother. (...) I think he lied that he would intervene, to get the money, to take the money. And when he took the money, he had all of us arrested, the whole family. Moreover, Bercea’s daughter believes that if there had been anyone else in the president brother’s place they would have been arrested by now
"And Mircea sleeps in his bed (...), if he had been another he would have been arrested by now", the daughter of Bercea Mondial concluded.
