Our country has lost millions of euros in the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in the property restitution cases, according to an investigation presented Thursday on the Daily Summary show on, Antena 3.
An overall number of 255 cases were settled from 2006 to 2014 with a one year break in 2013.
In eight years, the Romanian state, in addition to losing money on compensations payments to people who had no right to certain properties, it paid more than 31 million euros to the people who went abroad to seek justice.
