The flag of Romania hoisted in the Great Union citadel. The last arrangements for the big day of May 27 are being made
There are only a few days left until Romania will enter the Guinness Book of Records with the largest flag in the world. Until then, we are making the last arrangements for everything to be perfect.

More than 2,500 sandbags with the same colors as the flag were transported to the Clinceni Aerodrome. The sandbags were prepared so that after the flag is stretched over a 70,000 square meters surface, it should not be blown by the wind.

Until then, we are walking on the footsteps of history and place the flag where it belongs. Adi Ursu was at Alba Iulia and hoisted the flag over the Great Union citadel.

In the heart of Transylvania, there stands one of the 7 wonders of Romania: the Fortress of Alba Iulia. In 1600, Alba Iulia became the first capital of the three Romanian principalities: Transylvania, Moldova and the Romanian Country, united under the rule of Prince Michael the Brave.

Then the Great Union of 1918 was also enshrined in Alba Iulia transforming the city into the symbol of the Romanian spirit.

In the citadel of the Great Union, the ceremony of flowing the tricolor of Romanian is not only solemn but emotional every time.

Alexandra chose to serve her country and says that a soldier needs first and foremost three qualities.

The student wants to become a military doctor. A career path inspired by her mother's profession and which might take her to serve in an operations theater, abroad. .It is important for every soldier to remember where he left from, she says.

The flag always has a special place in the Romanians hearts and in the hearts of the soldiers in particular.

On May 27, 2013 Antenna 3 and fabricadesteaguri.eu offers Romanians a gift: the largest national flag in the world. The huge flag is 330 meters long, 220 meters wide and weighs 5 tons.
