The government released funds amounting to 145,868 lei from the Ministry of Defense, for the purpose of the joint projects established within NATO and the US, as well as for the purchase of the multirole aircraft and securing the Deveselu military base. The release of funds was decided in the meeting of Wednesday, Mediafax reports.
The Government believes that the release of funds will allow to continue financing the Romanian Air Force multi-role aircraft program, the implementation of the Action Plan meant to increase the responsiveness of the Alliance (RAP), completing the military base at Deveselu securing and ensuring conditions for continuing the exercises planned for the year 2015 and to enhance the training of military structures.
