The head of the Muslim Cult of Romania, Mufti Yusuf Muurat, sent a letter of condolences to the French Embassy in Romania, condemning the "cruel, bloody events committed by the so-called French Muslims, through an unprecedented terrorist assault, to reduce to silence the journalists of the Parisian satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. "
"All the tragic events of the utmost cruelty which took place have nothing to do with Islam, and those who caused it cannot be recognized as brothers of the Muslim religion, according to religious precepts that we practice in accordance with the teachings of the Quran and the word Prophet Muhammad.
The Islam strictly prohibits the killing of any soul, and our religion, above all, is against any bloodshed and also strongly condemns attacks. Therefore, I condemn these acts of terrorism and I am addressing condolences to the bereaved families and the French people and I continue praying to the good Allah to bless us and to our protect the country, Romania, and our tolerant people", Muurat Iusuf said.
