UPDATE: Sorin Oancea has also admitted that he talked with Ludovic Orban about the elections campaign pointing out that, in his opinion the whole case file represents a "political vengeance" that he is being forcibly dragged into.

How was that, he asked the money for me, or for B1. Why would you ask for cash for a TV outlet owner? Why won’t you go and enter a contract with him, eventually. Why ask for cash?” said Sorin Oancea, upon exiting the DNA.

UPDATE: While exiting the DNA, Cozmin Gușă acknowledged he had a discussion on 24 March with Ludovic Orban, related to the elections campaign.

I spoke with Ludovic Orban about his campaign, at his request on 24 March. We talked about the campaign and about his chances, explaining to him that we would collaborate with all the parties, not just the PNL, it is between the central structure of the party and the outlet’s advertising department”, said Cozmin Gușă.

We met in a public space”, said Cozmin Gușă, denying that Realitatea Tv had asked money from the politician in exchange for the elections campaign.

The owners of Realitatea TV and B1 TV, Cozmin Gușă, respectively Sorin Oancea, have arrived at the DNA, Tuesday morning in the case file of Ludovic Orban. The two have been summoned to give statements in the case file in which the PNL candidate for the City Hall, Ludovic Orban, has been placed under judicial control.

The law forbids the election campaign for money”, said Sorin Oancea, arriving at DNA.

Cozmin Gușă told the journalists at the entrance in the DNA, that nobody from the television he represented had not negotiated with Ludovic Orban to receive a sum of money in exchange for promoting the Liberal candidate in the TV programs.

"I have been called as a witness in the case file of Ludovic Orban by Ms prosecutor Claudia Roşu. Nor have I asked for (cash - no) nor have I been offered, we have not met, but surely, being a case so complicated, which somehow changed the fate of the elections, it is the duty of the ladies from DNA to elucidate, probably during the campaign, this corruption scandal, while of course, the television outlets that have nothing to do with this should be exonerated, "said Gusa.

Ludovic Orban is being investigated by DNA prosecutors and placed under judicial supervision for having used his influence in order to obtain undue advantages, he had asked a businessman 50,000 euros for the elections campaign in the summer of 2016.

Ludovic Orban has resigned from the post of Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies after the National Anticorruption Directorate decided to investigate him under judicial control in a corruption case.

DNA prosecutors claim that on March 1, 2016, the defendant Orban Ludovic, first vice president of PNL, "contacted a businessman whom he knew, requesting financial support for the local elections campaign of the summer 2016, Ludovic Orban was running for mayor of Bucharest ".

Subsequently, on 20 March 2016 during a new meeting, defendant Orban Ludovic claimed from the businessman 50,000 euros in cash, arguing that he would have to remit the money to the people he mentioned, holding high position in two television stations to promote his candidacy. Defendant Ludovic Orban said that he needed the requested amount in about one to two weeks.
