The Romania territory secured. The maritime space and airspace to be strengthened by NATO troops

Romania has asked the U.S. and NATO to strengthen airspace security in the Black Sea, Defense Minister Mircea Dusa said.

Our country is not in danger, in the Ukraine events framework, but it needs the support of its allies in this moment.

Moreover, starting next week several American F16 fighter jets will perform military exercises in Romania, Defense Minister said on Antena 3.

The demand for enhanced security comes after the United States of America have asked Romania to allow expanding operations at the base Kogalniceanu. Mircea Dusa said that, "after the joy of being admitted into the NATO and the EU," Romanian politicians forgot the army, the budgets being very small.
