Our country is hosting a new joint Romanian-American military exercise dubbed "Dacian Eagle 2015".
600 Romanian and American soldiers will participate in the drills to be held at Câmpia Turzii, in Cluj county in central Romania. Fighter planes will also take part in Dacian Eagle: six Romanian MIG-21 Lancer and 12 US F-15 jets.
Troops will train from July to September. Such exercises are ever more frequent in Romania, since the outbreak of the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine and Russia involvement in the military confrontations there.
