UPDATE 14.00 - The Romanian Senate refused the family's request that the body of Corneliu Vadim Tudor be lodged inside the Romanian Parliament.

The Senate chairmanship announced that it would not discontinue religious procedures after the coffin has already been submitted to the New St. George Church.

"The request of Mrs. Doina Vadim Tudor on the approval that the body of former Senator Corneliu Vadim Tudor be lodged in the lobby of the Senate, was rejected. As you know, the deceased was a senator of Romania for three terms and Vice President of the Senate," Ioan Chelaru said.
  
He added that from the time of the application until its review by the Senate chairmanship, "the body was deposited in a place of worship and will remain there, the Permanent Bureau stating that there is no need to have it moved in the Romanian Senate.

UPDATE 12.33 -  Corneliu Vadim Tudor's family arrived at St. George Church in the capital, where the body of the politician was deposited.

"He did not get to say anything more because he collapsed. I think his greatest desire was that we should take Romania Mare further" said a daughter of Vadim Tudor.
Corneliu Vadim Tudor's sister said her brother had felt sick for three days, but refused to go to hospital. Finally, yesterday morning, he called the ambulance. The family did not wait for the rescue team and drove him to the hospital. There he was lucid for a period, then he fell into a coma.

"To be remembered as a good patriot, a man who loved his country more than anything”, the politicians stated.

According to the family, the body of Vadim Tudor will be transferred tomorrow to the Ghencea cemetery chapel.
    
Since the casket was deposited in the "St. George " church dozens of people came to pay a last tribute to the PRM founder.

UPDATE 12.00 – The dead body of Corneliu Vadim Tudor will be lodged this afternoon in the chapel of the Saint George church. 

A request was submitted that it should be logged in the Senate and a decision will be taken in the meeting of the Standing Bureaus.

The politician’s sister announced that the funeral will take place on Thursday at 12.00 at Ghencea Civil Cemetery.

Corneliu Vadim Tudor died last night at the Military Hospital in the capital, at the age of 65. The politician was rushed to hospital since yesterday morning with respiratory problems. Soon, however, he suffered a stroke and underwent surgery. Despite doctors' efforts, he could not be saved.

His acquaintances started coming since yesterday at the politician’s residence to present condolences to the family.

Corneliu Vadim Tudor was taken immediately to the Military Hospital after suffering a pulmonary edema and could not breathe. Soon, his heart stopped beating and doctors tried to resuscitate him for two hours. But to no avail.

His sudden death shocked and grieved those who knew, loved and admired him.

The MEP had serious health problems. He was hospitalized in March 2013 at the Military Hospital in the capital, because of heart problems. In addition, he suffered from diabetes.

In the last interview of Corneliu Vadim Tudor given to Antena 1 reporters, just two days ago, Vadim Tudor spoke then about the situation of Tudor Arghezi’s daughter, Mitzura, criticizing Traian Radu, the one who cares for the woman, because he had her admitted in an asylum.

Corneliu Vadim Tudor was born on November 28, 1949, in Bucharest, he was married and had two daughters.
