The trial of former communist labour camp commander, Alexandru Vişinescu, came to an end on Tuesday.
Vişinescu, 88, is charged with crimes against humanity. Romanian Prosecutors are accusing him of running an extermination regime at the Ramnicu Sarat prison, from 1956 to 1963.
On the last day of his trial, Alexandru Vişinescu refused to make any comments. Romanian judges are expected to announce the verdict on July 24.
