Sabina Iosub discussed Saturday during the show "Be EU" about the action plan the European authorities have for a more transparent corporate taxation.

„When we talk about new schemes to try to fight tax evasion, it is an important thing, but we live in a situation where there is no more competition between multinationals or businesses. It's more a competition between Member States, between countries. And I believe this questions the so-called European values, because it is a huge pressure, for example, for taxpayers when it comes to SMEs, while large corporations have all the freedom", said Marisa Matias.
„European tax payer lost somewhere around 1000 billion in tax revenue. So people are angry and want to do something. Thanks to pressure from the European Parliament we have established a Board of taxes to take care of that, to see how we can have a fairer system. (...) We should have reports from every country, "said in turn, British MEP Gil Neena.
