The five times world champion, Ronnie O'Sullivan defeated Saturday night, with the score 5-4, the current holder of the supreme title, Stuart Bingham in the first demonstration game of snooker in Bucharest, Agerpres announces.
The two champions put on a show at the Globus Circus show room in front of over 2,000 spectators, who gave them a standing ovation for minutes on end when the game finished.
Bingham started the match better, leading after about 30 minutes with the score 2-0, but his compatriot managed to recover and equal to the enthusiasm of the spectators, most of them declared fans of Ronnie O'Sullivan.

The snooker game resumed after a break of 15 minutes, and the reigning champion distanced himself by two frames from O'Sullivan. In the seventh frame of the match, Ronnie O'Sullivan scored the highest break of the evening, 111 points and then he ruled the game. He has won the last two frames and finally won by 5-4.
The game was led by Michaela McInnes (Tabb), the first referee woman to have arbitrated a World Championship snooker final in 2007.

The game was attended by tennis players Irina Begu and Sorana Cîrstea, as well as by the former president of Romania, Ion Iliescu.
Born on December 5, 1975, Ronnie O'Sullivan is considered the most talented snooker player of all times. At 15 he achieved his first maximum break (147 points), and at 17 he became the youngest champion of Great Britain. In his career so far he won the World Championship five times (2001, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2013), the London Masters five times and the UK Championship five times. Ronnie O'Sullivan won from snooker over 8 million pounds.

Stuart Bingham became World Champion in May this year after the success he obtained before Shaun Murphy in the competition final. Moreover, Bingham defeated Ronnie O'Sullivan in the quarterfinals of the World Championship, his opponent in the game held at Bucharest. Aged 39, Bingham is, after Ken Doherty, the second player who manages to win the snooker world title at both the amateur and the professional levels.
The event entitled "Snooker Titans" continues Sunday at 20:00, also at Globus Circus in Bucharest, the second demonstration game between Ronnie O'Sullivan and Stuart Bingham.
