Former goalkeeper of Universitatea Craiova has been indicted. Silviu Lung is currently the goalkeepers coach at CSU Craiova. He is accused of manslaughter and bodily injury because in January 2014 he had an accident in which a man of 41 died, and his two children in the back seat of the car were seriously injured.
The prosecutor who prepared the indictment has recommended the court to consider that with his sporting activity, Silviu Lung created a positive image of Romania.
The man who died in the accident had picked up his two children from school when Silviu Lung crashed their car . The man even foretold how the accident would occur. His wife had asked him to drive carefully when he left home. He said that he usually did, provided that somebody else hit him. Following the accident, the 41-year-old man died on the spot, the girl was seriously injured, and the boy had lighter injuries .
