The Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns the Romanian citizens who are in the United States of America or plan to travel to New York that a "severe" weather warning was issued for the northern and western areas of the state.
According to a MFA press release presented byMediafax , the warning of heavy snow, blizzard, cold weather and low visibility is valid until Friday evening in the regions of Oswego, Erie, Jefferson, Lewis, Genesee, Wyoming, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua and St. Lawrence.
MFA recommends the Romanian citizens to act with caution and consult specialist websites for more information.
Four people died because of the blizzard that has been lasting since Tuesday morning in the US state of New York, mainly in the city of Buffalo, according to AFP.
