Russia supplemented again its troop numbers near the border with Ukraine, sending new military equipment in the Eastern Ukrainian, said Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of NATO.
There is a supplementation of Russian troops near the border with Ukraine but also in Eastern Ukraine, where military equipment is shipped constantly - tanks, artillery, air defense systems and trained insurgents, " Jens Stoltenberg said, Reuters informs, quoted by Mediafax.
The insurgents "have the ability to launch new attacks, with a small range warning, but obviously nobody knows their intentions," Stoltenberg said.
Moscow rejects Kiev’s and the West accusations on the military support granted to separatists.
According to Stoltenberg, the support offered by Russia to separatist insurgents in Eastern Ukraine is a "flagrant violation" of the Minsk Agreement.
"The very existence of Russian forces along the border, but also in Ukraine is a violation of the Minsk Agreement and is meant to intimidate and exert pressure on Ukraine," Stoltenberg insisted.
The separatist conflict in Eastern Ukraine, broke out in March 2014 and has already resulted in more than 6,200 dead.
