The Russian President Vladimir Putin is the most popular politician in the Republic of Moldova, a survey recently conducted by the Magenta Consulting revealed, according to RIA Novosti.
The survey shows that 74% of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova trust Putin, 49% of the respondents favor Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, while around 47% support president Barack Obama.
Politicians from the Republic of Moldova are behind foreign leaders, according to the survey quoted by the Russian radio station Echo of Moscow. The survey also shows that the former Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin enjoys a support of 18.5%.
In the meantime, the current president of the Republic of Moldova, Nicolai Timofti, enjoys the support of only 0,6% of the respondents, the survey shows.
In Russia, the trust rate for Vladimir Putin is of 48%, according to a survey conducted in March by VTsIOM, a state owned company.
