A camp of 69 Roma people from Romania, which was located in the center of Madrid, a few hundred meters from the Spanish government building was demolished by the authorities, according to the Federation of Associations of  Romanian in Europe (FADERE).. Authorities in  Madrid stated that the  Universidad Complutense, who is the owner of the place, won a lawsuit opened six months ago, which, for reasons of hygiene and public health, was expedited so that Friday it  received an order for demolition and immediate evacuation, a statement by  Fader said,  quoted deMediafax.

After demolition, the Madrid Hall gave all those affected the opportunity to stay in a shelter for the night, but none of them agreed, saying that they would leave Spain.

"FADER repeatedly urged the Romanian Government to start a project to integrate the  Roma in the EU countries, but so far they  received no response," Daniel Ţecu, president of the organization, said.
