A police patrol spotted during night of Monday to Tuesday, two vehicles loaded with about 700 pounds of copper, worth about 25,000 Euros.
The police have arrested two people who were aboard one of the cars, Romanian citizens aged 20 and 28 respectively. The other car headed for Germany, where it was stopped later by a German patrol. There were two Romanians aboard the vehicle, aged 30 and 35 respectively.
Three Romanians, aged 30 and 35, were arrested Tuesday afternoon by another patrol, while dismantling cables and copper parts, inside an obsolete factory, after breaking and entering.
Another patrol intercepted a vehicle Thursday morning with two Romanians aboard, aged 23 and 29 years old respectively, whose clothes had dirt and grass stains on them. Pieces of electrical equipment stolen from a construction site were found in it.
Metal thefts have increased in recent months, Le Parisie writes.
