A 5.8 earthquake on the Richter scale hit Romania on Sunday morning at 3:38 AM, summertime. The epicenter was in Vrancea, with a depth of 151 km and the earthquake was majorly felt in Bucharest, capital of Romania.
There were no immediate victims reported.
Three hours later, a 3.2 afterquake hit at 5:48AM, with a depth of 148 km.
The most severe earthquakes that hit Romania in the last 28 years were recorded on May 30 and 31, 1990 with their magnitude being 6.9 and 6.4 degrees on the Richter scale.
