Mihai Gâdea presented on the Tuesday night edition of his show the fact that in peacetime Romania has more generals than any army in  the world.  In the National Ministry of Defense, Traian Băsescu has raised  to the rank of   general 478  army officers, 68 intelligence officers and 137  officers   from the Ministry of Administration and Interior.

After   Traian Băsescu has promoted more  generals than  in the entire  history of the Romanian Presidency, he did  not even attend the Army Day, which was not attended by the  Leader  of the Armed Forces  either.

At Antenna 3 request  asking the reason why he has not attended the Army’s Day, the Leader of the Armed Forces replied ‘We do not have to answer to you’

Traian Băsescu did not have the pleasure to attend it either because  his invitation did not read ‘your excellency’.

The shocking  new presented in the last night show was that Traian Băsescu agreed to give in over 2 billion Romanian lei, Iraq’s historic debt to our country.

In an article  published by Mediafax, featuring  data obtained from a WikiLeaks telegram, the followings were revealed to the public.

President  Traian Băsescu communicated the American diplomats in 2005, that Romania had agreed to give in  80%  out of its historic debt amounting to 2,6 billion dollars which it was supposed to receive from    Iraq according to a  telegram of the US Embassy, obtained by WikiLeaks.

According to the  WikiLeaks document, president  Traian Băsescu  had informed a team lead by Ambassador Richard Jones, counselor  to the Secretary on Iraq Policy Coordination, on July 21, 2005, that Romania complies with its commitments to maintain armed forces in  Iraq.

Băsescu emphasized  the financial hardship Romania is facing  by maintaining its armed forces under the circumstances where  the country has experienced major floods, adding that an  additional support from the U.S. Government for Romania’s  defense reform would allow the country  to develop its contribution  in Iraq. Although Romania is not part of the Paris Club, Băsescu confirmed that the country is willing to erase  80% of Iraq's debt by $ 2.6 billion.

Besides, Ziarul Financiar published in September 2011 an article headline ‘The price paid to be an ally. Romania has spent over 800  million dollars on America’s wars. What   Băsescu  is to obtain from  Washington’.
