PM Victor Ponta said on Thursday that his hopes regarding EU funds absorption have been ”very optimistic”. He said he was recieving audits from 2010 and 2011 with ”lost money”, for which former Labor ministers from Democrat Liberal Party (r.n. Ioan Botis, Sebastian Lazaroiu and Sulfina Barbu) were responsible.
”Basically, we are now on schedule with the absorption of EU funds, but we are recieving audits from 2010 and 2011 which we can not change and that is lost money. Therefore, whenever I hear Mr President and others talking about European money i send them and ask them to punish Botis Lazaroiu and Barbu as harshly as possible”, Ponta said.
