Premier Victor Ponta  said that Viviane Redingis making  “weekend ” statements  “by ear” about subjects  she “is not familiar with ”, and in this opinion her attacks against the Romanian Government are generated by her political views  and they have “exceeded all normal limits” within the EU.

“It just like another lady,   Minister Plum, from the Environment Ministry, otherwise a  highly respected lady,  would talk to you about the prosecutors issue. She has no idea about how the  justice works, nor does she have any mandate to speak on anyone’s behalf. This FMI story is  frivolous ”, the premier said.

Ponta specified that commissioner’s Reading political statements are of  “Dambovita level”.

“I guarantee that never, not even for a second, during  the discussions I ‘ve had with the FMI representatives a political issues never came up. Moreover, each time the FMI delegation came, they met with the Government, the they met with the opposition and they talked about the budgetary deficit, fiscal policies, privatizations.  It never came up. Mrs. Reading is mixing them up, because she is not familiar with them” Ponta explained.

The head of Government  considers that Viviane Reding is making political statements in her own name and she attacks  the USL Government because  is part of the European Peoples family , just like the PDL.

“Mrs Reading’s weekend’ statements who speaks  by ear of issues she is not familiar with and  which are not in her responsibility, are consistent with a political attack” the premier said.

In Victor Ponta’s opinion,    Viviane Reding opposes Romanian’s accession to the Schengen area, unlike  PE’s president, Mr. , Martin Schulz, a social democrat who supports Romania’s accession.

“Mrs Reading is happy to harm Romania by its not entering the Schengen Area. I do not think that  this is helping the PDL, not to enter  the Schengen”, Ponta added.
