The Police in  Sicily are seeking the  person who poisoned three Romanian children, one of whom died. The  perpetrator left on the threshold of a  house inhabited by Romanians a box of candy, oranges and wine poisoned with carbofuran, a powerful pesticide.

The substance has been   prohibited within the European Union since  2008, but is still found on the black market. In the same area,  another Romanian was  killed,a  farm worker, whose body was found Saturday. 

Investigators have state  however, that this new crime was  unrelated to the  children poisoning.
