Alpinist  Alex Gavan made it into  the history books as the first Romanian who managed to climb Shisha Pangma summit   with a height of 8027 meters in the Himalayas.

Alex's climb  is the fourth  attempt by the Romanian climbers attempt to reach the summit. Although he  climbed without additional  oxygen, Alex managed to reach the top in just  13 days since he arrived in the  base camp, although the climb  was  originally planned for  mid-May.

Shisha Pangma is also the fifth peak of over eight thousand meters that  Alex has climbed.
