The traffic between Romania and Bulgaria, by crossing the Giurgiu Bridge is restricted because of some huge potholes on the Bulgarian side of the highway. The authorities have decided that cars should drive on a single band, and the trucks should use the Vama Veche exit to leave the country.
On account of weight restrictions, the trucks queue is already stretching for several hundred feet. The drivers will have to turn back and cross the border with Bulgaria at Vama Veche, until the bridge is fixed.
Yesterday, three cars were seriously damaged because of the potholes on the roadway. Bulgarian experts will assess the situation.
