US publication CarsRoute has declared Romania's Transfagarasan the most beautiful road in the world in a top 15 ranking that anyone has to drive on.
Second and third in the ranking were Italy's Stelvio Pass and Norway's Lysebotn Road, respectively.
In 2009, BBC's Top Gear also named the Transfagarasn Road first among the world's most beautiful.
Built in early 1970s, the 151-km road connects the historic regions of Transylvania and Wallachia. The road was ready on September 20, 1974.
